This isn’t a generic festival with a Michigan sticker on it.
Michigan Made is a curated tasting event built around one idea: the best spirits, beer, cider, and wine in this state are made by people within a few hours’ drive of Grand Rapids — and most of them you’ve never met.
October 9 we’re bringing 20+ of those producers to BattleGR. You’ll taste your way through the state you live in, vote on your favorites, and — because this is still BattleGR — throw some axes while you’re at it.
$5 from every ticket supports South Kent Chamber Foundation.
VIP guests enjoy reserved seating during the guided hour (6:30–7:30 PM) before the festival opens to all ticket holders. Early bird pricing ends September 4.
VIP Experience — Three Tracks, You Choose
VIP doors open at 6:30 PM. Producers come to your table.
VIP guests are seated at reserved tables for a private guided hour before the festival opens. Six producers visit your table — one at a time — pouring what they made and walking you through why it tastes the way it does. Each pour comes paired with a Michigan-inspired bite from our kitchen.

Event Details & FAQ
What time should I arrive? VIP guests: arrive by 6:15 PM to be seated before the guided hour begins at 6:30. General Admission doors open at 7:30 PM. Event ends at 10:00 PM.
What is a tasting pour? A tasting pour — not a full drink. Roughly a half ounce for spirits, an ounce for wine, and two to three ounces for beer and cider.
Can I switch VIP tracks after I purchase? Email us at [email protected] before October 2 and we’ll move you if space is available in your preferred track.
Is there food? Yes. VIP guests receive Michigan charcuterie pairings during the guided hour. Michigan-inspired appetizers from our kitchen are available throughout the festival for all ticket holders.
Is axe throwing really happening at a tasting event? It is — with trained BattleGR staff running the lanes. Lanes close at 9:00 PM. We’ve been doing this a long time.
I don’t drink alcohol. Is there a ticket for me? Yes — the Mocktails & NA Drinks ticket is $49 early bird / $59 regular and includes 10 curated mocktail and non-alcoholic tastings, Michigan-inspired appetizers from our kitchen, live music, and axe throwing. Same punch card, same experience — no alcohol.
What should I wear? Nice casual. Most people dress for a night out. Closed toed shoes for axe throwing.
Can I buy tickets at the door? Only if tickets remain — and VIP will not be available at the door. Buy ahead to guarantee your spot and your early bird price.
Is this event 21+? Yes. Valid ID required at the door, no exceptions.
Where do I park? Free on-site parking at 284 Dodge NE, Comstock Park.
What is your refund policy? Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Email us at [email protected] and we’ll move the ticket to whoever is attending in your place.
